t/n: Sayaka used “suki” and Sae used “aishiteru” both of them basically mean “I love you” It probably takes an essay to explain the difference between ‘suki’ and ‘aishiteru’. But in short you just need to know that ‘suki’ is very commonly used in daily conversation and people say it with almost everybody they like nowadays. While ‘aishiteru’ is rarely used, it’s considered a higher level of ‘suki’ and you just don’t say ‘aishiteru’ with anybody.
